Knix | Perimenopause

We talk a lot about periods, but we don’t talk about this period. It can start as early as your 30s, and everyone who menstruates will experience it. Yet, 90% of us feel completely unprepared for perimenopause. Knix is here to change that.

Apollo's Writer Retreat

Director / DOP: Mike Kirsh

Working at a commercial music house, Kari worked with a collective of talented musicians, writers, composers, producers and artists. With their regular work day largely consisting of writing from an advertising brief, or composing for a commercial, she wanted to get the team inspired, and give them the opportunity to create music that they love. Kari organised a writers retreat. 25 musicians were taken to a remote recording studio where she brought on 3 mentors -Jason Collette (Broken Social Scene), Robbie Roth (World renowned musician and Broadway composer), and Gavin Brown, one of Canada’s most celebrated music producers. The artists were broken into 5 groups and given 36 hours to write, produce, and record a brand new track. This example of unique and inspirational team building is something Kari believes strongly in, especially when working with creative minds.
